the tags would say u would be procecuted, why is that so?

The do not remove tag warning only applies to the seller not the consumer. Once you%26#039;ve purchased it, you can remove it.

Reply:you can remove them after you purchase the mattress. that is so someone purchasing the mattress knows all the crap that you never look at on those tags.
Reply:it just if you remove the tag before you buy it. I think all new mattresses have to have the tag. You can remove it after you buy it
Reply:Sellers are not allowed to remove the tags so that they can%26#039;t move the tag to cover a hole or spot on the mattress, thus misrepresenting the condition of the product to the buyer. Once you buy it, you can remove all tags.

Reply:The store selling the mattress cannot take of the tags , but the person buying them can.
Reply:Only the business selling the mattress could get in trouble for removeing tag, the tag contains the info on the mattress. Who ever buys it can remove it if they want to.
