How to take tags off of music files?

When i download songs I end up seeing the website I got it from every time I play it. Going to properties and editing it still does not work, it still shows! Anyone knows what to do?

How to take tags off of music files?
Great question.

.mp3 files have a small database record inside. There is a version 2 and a version 3.

There are a number of sharware tag editors available from places like download.com and others (just do an internet search).

These will usually scan a directory of .mp3 files and show a spreadsheet like interface with the main tag fields. You can often select all the files for an album, update something like %26quot;Album Title%26quot; and it will automatically update the field in all the selected files. Very cool.
Reply:Have you tried editing the ID3 tags on the files. That should let you remove any tagging information you don%26#039;t want. It depends what jukebox program you have as to where you go to find the tag editor, but there should be one in whatever program you use. In Windows Media Player for example, if you right click on a track, select Advanced Tag Editor and that will let you edit the tags.
