Is there a home remedy for removing skin tags on different parts of the body?

I had some removed by a doctor but health insurance does not cover that procedure. It is very costly.

My husband has actually removed some small ones from his armpit with a pair of sterilized scissors. He boils the scissors for 20 minutes, air dries them , swabs the area with rubbing alcohol, cuts them off and then applies an antibiotic cream from the drugstore. Off course you have to make sure that they really are skin tags and they should be small ones. I would think if they were too big you might have too much bleeding. He has had no problem whatsoever and he%26#039;s quite a baby when it comes to pain,so if he can do it.....anybody can.
Reply:Not that I am aware of. My girlfriend does it herself. But she was a surgical and trauma nurse. I dont recommend it though.
Reply:All of these methods of treatment are considered minor surgery, typically done in a doctor%26#039;s office. Since removal of skin tags is considered to be cosmetic, most health care systems and medical insurance plans will not cover it.

Please see the webpages for more details on Acrochordon (Skin tag).
