How can I sell a car without tags or insurance in Pa?

I would like to sell my car, but insurance ran out and also the registration is expired. I%26#039;m sure whoever is interested in it will want to test drive it, but how can I let them in this situation?

How can I sell a car without tags or insurance in Pa?
This happens everyday. Just tell the potential buyer that there are no tags or insurance on the vehicle and that any test drive is going to be really short, maybe even up and down the driveway. Most people will stretch that a little. A good buyer can evaluate a car in a very short distance. When I was a professional appraiser I didn%26#039;t have to move the car more than twenty feet to assess its condition. If the buyer has insurance they may be covered while driving your car.
Reply:you don%26#039;t need these things to sell it, but you are right on the test driving, if they go on public roads. I think some states sell a temporary registration (good for a few days or couple of weeks)/plates for situations where the person needs to drive the car to move it. call your local dmv.
Reply:Vehicles sell with titles, not tags or insurance. As long as you have a clear title you can sign over, you can sell it. Just tell potential buyers they can start if, and move it around in the drive way if they want, but since it has no tags or insurance they cannot drive it off your land. It will be up to the buyer to either have it towed when they buy it, or to get tags and insurance to then drive it. Don%26#039;t forget to notify the DMV that you sold it, and the buyers name and address. Your state should have a standard form to do that.
Reply:Nope. You either have to sell it to a dealer and have it towed or register and insure the car so you can sell it. This car%26#039;s tires cannot touch the road as it is now.
