Are shirts purchased at Lacoste stores in the Philippines original? The tags do not indic. country of origin?

Shirts bought in the US show they are made in France,Tunisia,etc. Here in Manila, Lacoste store salesmen say that raw materials are from France and that some of the shirts are made in Thailand. Yet their tags do not indicate such. I thought there were government regulations that all imported products must bear in its tag the country where it%26#039;s manufactured.

filipinos like to pay cheap but are brand conscious. so shops remove the made in tags to conceal its made in china or somewhere else to gove the buyers level of comfort that theyre buying the real thing
Reply:If you buy from Lacoste shops inside luxurious Malls, they are originals. If you buy them in tiangges (small stalls) like in Greenhills, 168 %26amp; others, fakes.


Philippine gov%26#039;t will tax goods heavily if products will be coming from Europe. So, Orig Lacoste sold in Manila, are fabricated in Asia, mostly Thailand coz%26#039; they%26#039;re the accredited by Lacoste France to produce them for Asian Market.


All fake items are made in China. It is their style. PRODUCT PIRACY.
Reply:Tags lies. Just go to the factories in cebu. They make all sort of products that the tags they bear are from somewhere else.


What the saleman says is somewhat true, some of the products raw materials can come from some where while some processes of making the actual product is made in some factory in another.Even pattenting is in another place usually thats what is placed on tags. Companies dont disclose this , to protect there somewhat image.
Reply:yes they dont have that made in.... tag in their shirt.but as long as you bought it from legit lacoste store meaning lacoste outlet in dutyfree shops and sm malls youll be sure its original.there is big difference in fabric quality compare to fake ones thats one item you need to check when buying one.and i guess buyers deserve best quality for a$66 shirt ;D

Reply:if you buy from accredited stores, that would be original shirts. but if you buy from greenhills, baclaran,and some other places where they sell imitations, that would not be original.
