Do you look at the instructions on the tags on washing your clothes and wash them accordingly?

and why do some things reccommend washing them(for instance) in warm as opposed to another temperature of water?

Yes, I do. Some dyes will bleed or fade in warm or hot water, some fabrics will shrink, others won%26#039;t last long if not properly tended to. That%26#039;s why they give you instructions!
Reply:I always check labels but did %26#039;fudge%26#039; once when I washed a sweater that said %26#039;dry clean only%26#039; I%26#039;m not about to go to a dry cleaners! So I laundered the sweater in with my other clothes, but dried it separately, and after 5 minutes took it out and it was slightly damp, so put it back in for 3 more minutes, and when I took it out it was perfect!! %26#039;dry clean only%26#039; indeed!!! If you%26#039;re not gonna follow the rules, at least be careful!!As for water temperature, I think it has to do with the type of fabric...

Reply:The reason for the washing instructions is because of the materials and threads it is made out of. Hot water will make some materials shrink for example!! Following washing instructions is suppose to make garment last longer.
Reply:ya... sure about it.... it is of course important as eah cloth or any material is made from different things... so we cantwash anything in the way we wish... the main thing why we see to the tags is for the cloth to be life long
Reply:hell no...i just throw everything into the washer and put it on a 50 degree wash and everything comes out fine!!!


I THINK THE LABELS ARE JUST FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE TOO FUSSY!!
Reply:Heck no ... we wash everything together (including colors and whites) in hot water, and it all comes out %26#039;clean%26#039; and looking nice. I would %26#039;check%26#039; though because some things are %26#039;dry clean only%26#039; and I don%26#039;t put those into the %26#039;washer%26#039; ... I do them with %26#039;cold water soap%26#039; in the sink.

and it also depends if they are the same color or not.
