No you don't need a license for a trailer in Oklahoma just lights on it. But yep you can get a ticket in Texas for using it weather it was loaned to you or not.
Reply:Even with that statement you will get a ticket, the way around this to write a fake bill of sales, that you purchased the trailer from him on the day that you are going to use it. You need the VIN # the trailer description, color, total selling price and the name of the seller. and Put in the AS/Is and the purchase price. Signature of seller and his address, and your name and address.

The DMV gives you a reasonable amount of time to register a newly purchased vehicle or Trailer, from 15-60 days depending on the state.

So this Way if you are stopped you can simply show the officer the Bill of sales and tell him that you just bought it.

But, here is the catch, The car that you put on this trailer must have a current registration and plates on it. Even if the trailer was really purchased new or not.

The law states the any vehicle in tow must have current registration and plate unless it's on or in an enclosed trailer or a open trailer that has a valid registration.

So if the trailer has not plates because you just bought it, then the car your hauling must have plates (current)
