razor blade and Windex
Any ideas on how to remove the sticky price tags from picture frame glass?
Baby oil -- it is mineral spirits, but way more gentle than anything else (remember what it was designed for). Use gauze pads to apply -- they add a bit of grit.
Reply:Use a razor Blade.
Reply:You can take a cloth with a little finger nail polish remover on it, and apply to sticky spot. It should disappear.
If not you can then scrape with a razor blade.
Reply:And olive oil.
Reply:Lighter fluid, rubbing alcohol
Reply:Rubbing alcohol or a razer blade. Or both.
Reply:goof off from the depot
Reply:Try lighter fluid, that's what we used on books when I worked in a bookstore.
Reply:You can use razor blabe on glass, a good way to get that stuff off in general is Naphtha, it's like turpentine but doesn't do damage
Reply:Goo Gone, but I prefer alcohol. Sometimes you can use plastic tape to peel off the sticky stuff if it isn't already moist.
Reply:finger nail polish remover
Reply:WD40. Breaks down the glue.
Reply:lemon juice.
Reply:Alcohol. It removes the sticker and then the sticky stuff it leaves. But yourself a spray bottle and keep it loaded...you can use it for all sorts of things around the house. Removes permanent marker from surfaces if not set in. Will kill small flying insects, and put the stinging ones to the ground so that you can step on them, spiders don't like it either. Sanitizes hands and hard, non, porous surfaces. All kinds of things! :)
Reply:Goo Gone is the best...
Reply:Just put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and swab it over the glass. Rubbing alcohol will take stickiness off of a variety of items; however, be careful with paint because it is strong enough to remove the color. Hope that helps.
