Does anyone know how they remove skin tags?

My daughter has one on her lower eye lid.

Does the doctor do it there and then or is it done at the hospital?

Does anyone know how they remove skin tags?
i developed loads of these during my pregnancy due to hormone changes and i have to get them removed next week at hospital. they are giving me a local anaesthetic and then cutting them off but they can also be frozen or tied. i would imagine they would have to use the tying procedure on the eye. some doctors will do it there and then others will advise hospital.
Reply:i think the doctor can do it i think they can freeze them off but not sure about the eye area, best ask
Reply:i have one beside my ear, and when i was younger the doctor referred me to the hospital to have it removed, it is a cosmetic operation, they either remove it with a laser or simply cut it off, she will be left with a small scar at the end of it, nothing more. does not hurt or anything. dont worry.
Reply:I was watchin a program and u can tie fishing line around it and it will drop off after a few days. it might sting a bit
Reply:I had one and the doctor did it in her office. Best to go to a

dermatologist.
Reply:You can either make an appointment with the doctor, or if there is a nurse on duty, she will be able to do it as well. It involves using a very small metal bar that is super cooling using liquid nitrogen. The very end of the instrument is placed on the tag, which freezes the skin, the tag then drops off. Its not uncomfortable, but you have to sit still.
Reply:It was on that program Embarrassing Medical Conditions. On that the doctor suggested tying fishing line around the tag really tightly to cut off the blood supply. Then after a couple of days cut it off as it will be dead. However as its on her eye lid I would get this done by the doctor as its a bit sensitive
Reply:When my son had one i took him to the doctor and he done there and then, he had it by his ear, and he froze it with a spray and it gradually dissapeared.
