Is it illegal to wear Dog Tags with all the military required information?

i mean if i buy a pair of dag tags and print all all the military info.......Name...Social No......Blood Type...Religion....est





i am only 14 and live in the UK, if i wear the dog tags, am i claiming that i am in the US army??

I'm in the US military and no, it's not illegal. Dog tags aren't considered a valid form of ID... Of course you'd in effect listing all the info someone would need to steal your identity on a little piece of metal.





The only reason we have those tags is so that if someone is injured we have identifying information and, most importantly, their blood type if a transfusion is needed.

Reply:If you live in the UK you do not have a Social Security number now do you? If you print one on the tags that could be construed as identity theft.
Reply:Get them if you want it is perfectly legal. (Not too sure if it is a good idea to want to look like a U.S. Soldier we get no respect in europe.)
Reply:Its ok! You can wear dog tags. it is legal. Its a free country. The only illegal thing would be to forge an illegal ID card and try to get on a US Military installation.
