razor blade and Windex
Any ideas on how to remove the sticky price tags from picture frame glass?
Baby oil -- it is mineral spirits, but way more gentle than anything else (remember what it was designed for). Use gauze pads to apply -- they add a bit of grit.
Reply:Use a razor Blade.
Reply:You can take a cloth with a little finger nail polish remover on it, and apply to sticky spot. It should disappear.
If not you can then scrape with a razor blade.
Reply:And olive oil.
Reply:Lighter fluid, rubbing alcohol
Reply:Rubbing alcohol or a razer blade. Or both.
Reply:goof off from the depot
Reply:Try lighter fluid, that's what we used on books when I worked in a bookstore.
Reply:You can use razor blabe on glass, a good way to get that stuff off in general is Naphtha, it's like turpentine but doesn't do damage
Reply:Goo Gone, but I prefer alcohol. Sometimes you can use plastic tape to peel off the sticky stuff if it isn't already moist.
Reply:finger nail polish remover
Reply:WD40. Breaks down the glue.
Reply:lemon juice.
Reply:Alcohol. It removes the sticker and then the sticky stuff it leaves. But yourself a spray bottle and keep it loaded...you can use it for all sorts of things around the house. Removes permanent marker from surfaces if not set in. Will kill small flying insects, and put the stinging ones to the ground so that you can step on them, spiders don't like it either. Sanitizes hands and hard, non, porous surfaces. All kinds of things! :)
Reply:Goo Gone is the best...
Reply:Just put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and swab it over the glass. Rubbing alcohol will take stickiness off of a variety of items; however, be careful with paint because it is strong enough to remove the color. Hope that helps.

How do you get Rid of Skin Tags?
Can you apply something so they dry out and pick them off, or should you just cut the little suckers off? Which is the best way to get rid of these little guys on your skin?
How do you get Rid of Skin Tags?
DO NOT CUT. crazy. its skin and will bleed and hurt.
I have them. You can go to a dermatologist where they burn it off (quick numb burn thats it) or you can do what me and my sisters do- tie a strand of hair around it tightly, the skin will die and it will just fall off.
hope it works....
Reply:You can pick them off when tiny, tie a thread around them until they dry, or go to dermatologist and get them removed. They will still keep coming back because they are caused by virus. If you tie the thread tie it tight and keep a bandaid over it until it is dead. I have done this many times. It may be painful at first if they are large but it will pass as it dies off.
Reply:I do what my dermatoligist did, and he told me I could, cut them off with scissors. Tying them off with thread works well also
Reply:Take a piece of thread or dental floss and tie it really tight at the basee and they should fall off in a day or two (you are cutting offr the circulation and killing them). They are caused by a virus, just like warts, so they will return. Also, you're doctor or dermatologist can freeze them off. Do not share deodorant or things that come in contact with them with other people.

How do you better your search results on search engines if you can't use meta tags keywords?
Yahoo uses meta tags which is great but how do you get better results using other search engines such as Google. How does the html page match the keywords entered in the search field?
How do you better your search results on search engines if you can't use meta tags keywords?
First off, you must have good page content that uses your chosen keyword liberally but in context. Also many search engine still use the meta description tag for their results. You should also use h1 and h2 tags to highlight your headings (which include your keywords) instead of just using a random CSS name. Another good idea is to use the alt and title tags for images to include your chosen keywords as well, but again in context.
Reply:what is stopping you from using them? all html programs have one way or another to add them. in most wysiwyg html programs you'll find them probably in FILE %26gt; Properties at the top left of the editor

Why is it illeagal to rip the tags off of mattresses?
I, personally, think it is a stupid law.
Why is it illeagal to rip the tags off of mattresses?
No that old law (since repealed) applied to the SELLER not the BUYER.
You can do what you like with a mattress once you've paid for it.
In the olden days, crooks filled mattresses with old newspapers and rotten feathers and rotten horsehair. Now a mattress needs to be labeled, for the buyer's information, with what it contains.
Reply:Are you blonde? lol, you will have the pillow and mattress police come out and put you in jail.
Reply:My neighbor got 5 - 10 years for doing just that. I warned him against taking the tags off. Now he has a new mattress to sleep on. He's on the bunk above some large over grown guy named Tiny. He's also doing time for tag removal. It's a hugh offense in some Red States.
Reply:It is only illegal if a party selling it does, not the consumer. Newer tags make this clear.
the law is there so people know what they are buying (mattress ingredients).
Reply:It is illegal for the retailer to remove them, not the consumer.
Reply:This applied to the stores only. After you buy it, you can do whatever you want with the tag, the law DOES NOT apply to the purchaser of the mattress.
Reply:The retail purchaser may remove them legally.
The tags are there on all furniture (not just matresses) because there used to be some serious funny business going on in the furniture industry. Some pretty nasty materials were used for stuffing or the covering. Labeling laws were enacted in the early 20th century to combat the problem. The manufacturer must apply the label and it is illegal for anyone in the supply chain to remove it until it is bought by the retail customer.
Reply:It's the same as selling a food product without information on the contents. Because different materials affect different people differently (like foods do), it is important for the consumer to have information regarding the contents of things like mattresses and pillows. This law began because people were reselling used mattresses or items with recycled materials without representing them as such.
You do realize that the consumer may remove the tag, right?
Reply:Its not illegal but if you do rip the tag off a mattress your warranty is up. its just a way for the mattress companies to get out of your warranty
Reply:seller can't tear tag off once you buy it it's yours to do with as you please.
Reply:looks like everyone knows the answer to this but you

How do I find out if the fabric I buy at the fabric store is animal cruelty free? There are no tags.?
For the sake of defenseless animals and in dispute with companies who test on animals or use animal products, I want my sewing fabric to be cruelty free. Please visit Peta.com to learn more about what I mean.
How do I find out if the fabric I buy at the fabric store is animal cruelty free? There are no tags.?
Victorious: If Jesus got crucified, would YOU get--oh.
Also: It's spelled PETA.
Also: "I don't tell anyone else how to dress, eat, walk, talk, so I say don't tell us how to do these things to fit in with a hypocritical (criminal) organization."
You're doing that RIGHT NOW. Why do you seem to think that someone you respect doing something is a great reason for you or anyone else to do it? Just because you don't tell people what to do (you do) isn't a good reason for everyone else doing it. You're a hypocrite yourself.
Sorry. Anyway. There really is no good way to tell if they don't list it. I guess the best way would be to buy your fabrics online, where there are probably sites with such kinds of fabrics in specific. But otherwise you would have to contact the companies, and then you still couldn't at all be sure.
Reply:I agree with Victor ious, looks like a clever way of SPAMMING for PETA. If you want to ensure that your fabric is animal cruelty free, make it at home. Take classes to learn how.
Reply:This sounds more like a clever SPAM for PITA. PITA has its own little terrorists who think nothing of harming human life, so I really don't respect that organization one bit.
How terrible it must be to go through life worrying about your clothes, your bed fabric, your soap, your food, and all that.
I love animals as much as the next person - but - I'm still going to eat my meat, and no one is going to force me to eat what they want me to eat. Jesus ate fish - I'll eat fish. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ate venison, I'll eat venison.
I don't tell anyone else how to dress, eat, walk, talk, so I say don't tell us how to do these things to fit in with a hypocritical (criminal) organization.
I seen a comic book advert (put out by PITA) that tells little children that their parents are savage heartless murderers because they don't line up with the PITA agenda. THAT is outrageous and sick as well as Nazi like brain washing tactics!
I am against torture of animals for cosmetics and such. And I am against animals being hunted for sport more than for food. I think PITA started out with the best of intentions - but has gone past the interest of the animal into a dictator type mindset, trying to control people, and force them to live in a life style they dictate. Its not about the Animals anymore - but its a good cover for a sinister ulterior motive.
Reply:If you want to find out chances are it'd be easier to make your own fabric. To my knowledge, anything synthetic or man made material wise isn't tested on animals.
I suppose you could talk to the manager of the store to find a # for the suppliers and then just keep going from there. It might take a couple of months, so like I said, I'd consider giving up the project or making my own material before I did that.
Reply:if you buy clothes U.S. made, then you can be pretty sure that animals weren't used.as an alternative to leather you should buy Vans (Rowley's,they are vegan friendly,no animals used)http://activemailorder.com/Catalog/searc...
