Do you have to add meta tags to every web page on your website?

Is it necessary to add meta tags to every page of a website?

Do you have to add meta tags to every web page on your website?
You don%26#039;t have to. But I recommend a custom Title page that%26#039;s particular to the content of each page, and if possible, the same for Description. Those are for humans to read, though they don%26#039;t hurt your search relevance.

It%26#039;s kind of ugly when every page on a site has exactly the same Title and Description. It makes it harder to pick out the relevant page.

Description is becoming less important now that some search engines use snippeting, but some still do.

Keywords, mehhh. I don%26#039;t exactly know what search engines do with it, but it%26#039;s so aggressively spammed that I doubt they do much, if anything.

You only need a Robots meta-tag if you wish to regulate crawler behavior in some way, tell it to not index or cache this page, or not to explore dynamically generated URLs off this page. Any page which generates Session-IDs embedded in the URL should have robots %26quot;nofollow%26quot;.
Reply:in short, no

Have A Good Day,

%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;%26lt;(((Ms. Haines)))%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;
Reply:In short no.

The Meta tags are becoming somewhat useless these days thanks to people spamming the bejebus out of them on their pages.

Have a lot of relevant content on your page will help you in search engines more.
Reply:Yes. In that way every page is indexed. Although a site map will get your subsidiary pages indexed too. For free Meta Tag analysis, generating, and keyword analysis and selection

Reply:Yes. These are what the search engines read to understand what your web page is about.

This week I showed a company that the reason the search engines could not find their website was because there were zero meta tags - it was all Flash. Flash is fine if it is supported with the proper code. No code = no indexing.

How do I know? We have held page 1, top 5 results in Google and Yahoo for the same key word terms for over two years. This is despite the constant changes in algorithyms.
Reply:You dont have to add.

Your web page will still be funtional.

But considering the best practices, you should add

title , description and keywords for every page.
Reply:There are several types of meta tags -- title tag, description tag, keyword tags, robots tag, and other types of meta tags

The most important meta tags that every page of your site should have are the title and description tags. Search engines will look for those two, and Yahoo in particular does not like pages with no unique tags

Because of too much spamming, search engines are now ignoring meta keyword tags. The other tags (e.g. author, dates, etc) are typically ignored by the main search engines, with only the specialized ones looking into it.

So in answer to your question, YES - every page should have a title and a description. The rest of the metatags you don%26#039;t have to put.
Reply:Not necessary but useful. Search engines can use meta tags to categorize and index your if they exist.
Reply:You don%26#039;t have to, but you should.

Will adding album covers to ID3 tags cause a noticeable increase in file size?

I was thinking of adding album art to the ID3 tags (not separate folders, mind you) of my mp3 files, but I%26#039;m concerned that this will cause a noticeable increase in file size, which is a big deal because I have a rather large library. Can anyone clarify on this?

Will adding album covers to ID3 tags cause a noticeable increase in file size?
Hi Saucy,

The length of the meta description tag is usually 150 characters or so. A meta tag 250 characters long would be considered bloated.

They really use very little resources.

If I were to buy shirts wholesale can I rip their tags out and sell them as my own?

They are blank shirts that I will be screenprinting my origional designs on. Do you think I could get in trouble for this?

Also anyone know a good place to get these wholesale shirts? I want excellent quality.

If I were to buy shirts wholesale can I rip their tags out and sell them as my own?
i don%26#039;t think you need to take off the tags if you own a business. usually certain types of businesses are able to buy blank t-shirts wholesale and print the shirts themselves.

try gildan. most shirts are from gildan. you have to be one of their clients in order to buy from them.
Reply:taking the tags out is definitly illegal.

you will have to contract to have your tags sewn in .

go to www.alibaba.com
Reply:What you propose does sound illegal. Don%26#039;t forget that fashion is intellectual property. But what you%26#039;re talking about is needless extra work. You should just contract with a shirt manufacturer to supply shirts - you order the sizes, styles, colour and fabrication - with your label in them.

However, asking this question makes me wonder if you are ready to get into retailling. Perhaps you should work for someone else for a while.

How come so many people think youtube related videos are cuz of tags?
Hi hi.

There%26#039;s more than tags that can draw relationship. Description, title, category, channel, etc., can also be used.

Hope this helps.

Try Tag %26amp; Rename. Got a built-in search engine as well to track down albums (but not singles) and so will re-tag and rename to the original product.
Reply:No not really. You have two options type in yourself or wait a while sometimes they get the correct information

What is the best way to transfer photos to a new hard drive and still keep my Photoshop "tags"?

I want to move my photos from a local hard drive to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) drive. I am currently using Photoshop 3.0, but will be updating to Photoshop 5.0.

What is the best way to transfer photos to a new hard drive and still keep my Photoshop %26quot;tags%26quot;?
I recommand you to use Google Picasa to manage and edit your pictures.

Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized.

Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures ¨C you can email, print photos at home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello™, and even post pictures on your own blog.

free download in here, just have a try:
